The College History

 

The high decree was issued on 1981 to establish the College of Business and Economics to support the leading role of the academic work in the science and knowledge field and acknowledging the importance of Qassim Region in achieving the economic goals of the Kingdom. The College received its first batch of students at the beginning of the academic year 1982 and thereafter it moved to its permanent location at the University campus in the Melaida neighborhood near Qassim airport to the northwest of the city of Buraiyda, at the beginning of the spring semester of the academic year 1995.


 

Also with the rising numbers of secondary school female graduates in Qassim area, and in step with the scientific and economic progress in the Kingdom and in accordance with the wishes of statesmen and citizens in the region, a female students department was inaugurated in the College at the beginning of the fall semester of the academic year 1986, following which the department moved to an independent building at the University campus at Al-Melaida with the beginning of the spring semester of the academic year 1995. In 2008 the high decree issued to create College of Business to receive its first female students in a specified college among Qassim University Colleges.
