Dr. Jamal Rashed

Dean at Northern Michigan University’s College

 

Rashed is currently the dean at Northern Michigan University’s College of Business. He was Director of the Center for International Business at Xavier University from 2007-2010 and had also served as professor and chair of the economics department at Xavier, where he had been on faculty since 1989.

At Northern Michigan University, Rashed launched the Business Professional Development and Mentorship program, created an executive mentorship program with 150 business executives mentoring senior-level students and formed a Dean’s Executive Advisory Board of top business professionals. He is also credited for starting the Momentum MBA, which is a 4+1 MBA degree. In addition, he also successfully led Northern Michigan University towards successful re-affirmation of AACSB accreditation in 2012. Under his leadership at Xavier, he led the economics department in the implementation of strategic plans to support the Williams College of Business AACSB accreditation, created nine study abroad programs and expanded their international exchange agreements with partner schools from Europe and the Middle East. He was also honored several times as Teacher of the Year and received teaching excellence awards.

Prof. John Endicott is areas of specialization include all aspects of Japanese and Korean studies, Asian security studies, with special emphasis on the Korean Peninsula, American defense policy, and professional military education. He has published several well known articles in International policies. He received his Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts University in cooperation with Harvard University. Prof. Endicott will be visiting CBE from 4th to 5th February 2015, to discuss and finalize various areas of collaboration with CBE

Dr. Mohammed Nadeem

Professor of
Business and an expert in Strategic & Global Marketing Management

Dr. Mohammed is a "Fulbright Specialist" who believes in preparing leaders who could make a positive difference for business and society. Dr. Nadeem's research explores customer loyalty and satisfaction issues, and how social media impacts the decisions of consumers, and how firms can market their products and services more successfully. Prof. Nadeem teaches MBA and PhD marketing (leadership/management) including Case Method Workshops. He has published research papers both in Business, Marketing and Psychology journals. Professor Nadeem has also consulted for clients in Education and High-tech industries in US & Middle East. Prof. Nadeem holds PhD (Business) from UIU, Cincinnati, Ohio and PDP (Marketing) from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. He will be visiting CBE to conduct a Case Study workshop during the period 25th to 27th January 2015.

Mr. Thomas Dowd has twenty+ years experience as a U.S.-based higher education administrator with both a domestic and an international focus. His expertise includes: strategy development and realization; relationship development and management; program design, development, delivery, and evaluation; policy development; marketing: external & internal; adult education; creation of high content educational travel programs for the post-collegiate market; faculty, alumni and international student engagement. Mr. Dowd is visiting CBE in the period 14th to 17th December 2014 to guide CBE in some its strategic initiatives.

Iskandar Yuldashev has earned his MS in Regional Studies from Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Master of Public Policy from KDI School of Public Policy and Management. Mr. Iskandar will be accompanying Prof. John Endicott in the various discussions during his visit to CBE on 4th & 5th February 2015.
